Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

The Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice 3 calls for students to construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. What does that look like in the math classroom? How do we set up the classroom culture to do this successfully?

In this session, you'll learn about talk moves for the mathematics classroom that will support this standard. We will focus on the use of conversation prompts to encourage respectful discourse among students. Modeling, small group discussions, and video clips will be used as part of our learning process and you'll leave with prompts you can use in your classroom immediately.
