Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

This session will focus on the power of an interdisciplinary approach to working with young learners - and leveraging that to support mathematical learning for students.

We'll share how we have worked with groups of diverse learners, from high capacity to special needs, and everywhere in betweeen, exploring just how teachers planned for meeting all learning needs. We will talk about the benefits of a unified approach to discipline, accommodations and meeting the needs of all learners, with special focus on their mathematical needs.

Thematic units will be examined, and math's role in those units. Time will be spent experiencing lessons and examining the impact of math throughout a student's life, not just in a math class, and we'll discuss ways to maximize learning for all. Math will be the thread with which we weave this tale of a wonderful model for working with young learners.
