I have been a middle school math teacher for the last ten years, after a career change from corporate finance. The experience I have had outside of education has supported the learning in my classroom because I can often answer the question, "When will we ever need to know this?" Teaching is my dream job, and I especially love middle school because the students are growing and changing in every way, and trying to figure out how to be their best selves. I believe that middle school mathematics provides the foundation for many necessary real world skills.
