Welcome to the 2016 MidSchoolMath National Conference!

Session scheduling is limited to registered attendees - all attendees should receive schedule access via email by Jan. 4 or within two business days of registering. Click on the "More Information" link for detailed directions on accessing SCHED and signing up for concurrent sessions.

Programming begins each morning at 8:15 am sharp, ending at 4:30 pm on Friday, followed by a social hour from 5:00 - 6:30 pm; and ends at 4:15 pm on Saturday.

Cassandra Slayton is an educational consultant who works with teachers to make math relevant through aligned curriculum, instruction, and assessment. She is passionate about designing instruction that engages learners through the promotion of curiosity, context, collaboration, and communication. Cassandra has served the Frenship Independent School District the past seven years as the Coordinator of Mathematics. In that capacity, she works with students, teachers, and administrators from eight elementary campuses, three middle schools, one high school, and one alternative campus. In addition to instructional leadership, Cassandra’s work in Frenship ISD also includes technology integration, curriculum management, and focused data analysis. In her 17 years of service to public education, Cassandra has also worked as a Master Teacher in the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP). From this experience, Cassandra has been involved in many statewide projects regarding effective professional development and student progress. She has also served as a trainer for the EOC academics through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and continues to partner with other school districts throughout Region 17.
